| Lovely pub and wide range of drinks served. Even though saying that its not a place I like to go as I find it very clicky and very boring! As soon as you walk through the door everyone turns to look at you! Nice if you want a quiet drink I suppose and ideal for a local late licence holder! | Thought this was a nice little local pub on the road out of Staines. The main bar area seems to have been refurbished without spoiling the character of the pub. | Definately one of the better pubs in the area,in these times of bars and pubs passing off 'creamflow' and 'extra smooth' as real ales with no alternative it's always refreshing to find 2 or 3 real ales on in the compasses from the likes of Badger or Hogs Back breweries,pubs always friendly with a couple of tellies,2 pool tables and a couple of dart boards. The pub is slowly taking shape and adam and julie are gradually updating the decor and (for the better) adding their own touches. | We really enjoyed our evening at The Compasses. We had been there once before years ago and really didn’t like it but were advised that it had been taken over by a lovely new couple, so decided to give it another go. We are very happy that we did and will now be visiting frequently! The pub had a lovely atmosphere with really friendly staff and customers, brilliant beer, a REAL fire and best of all we were served by the governor, a tradition I thought had sadly died out years ago.
