| Went there just after xmas 2007 and was disappointed with the experience. First thing was the smell. Stale ale anyone? I understand that smoke used to mask these smells but it was still quite overpowering. Nearly had an argument with the bar lady (perhaps landlady) trying to explain that Baileys should be served as a 50ml measure. She wasn't having it. I think I'll head to The Fox in future. Then had to have words with one of the regulars about intensely staring at the two girls I was with as it was making them feel very uncomfortable. He got very shirty and was ejected.
