We've live near here for a year and accidentally missed this. What a shame. But what a treat. This not a modern gastro-pub. This is a simple drinking pub. But with the best selection of beers I have seen in ages. Nice staff and a really good pint. Come here to drink good beer. I shall. jkbayley - 7 Apr 2012 16:20
A splendid pub that sadly I haven't had opportunity to get to since 2006. A range of well-kept, mostly loca-ales on pump, with a series of cask ciders on stillage behind. A real honest, two-bar, earthy but welcoming boozer that just happens to specialise in quality beer and cider. There are a few houses worthy of attention here but this is surely one of the priority pubs one should head for if in the area. Poor you if you happen to have a car although it shouldn't preclude a couple of sensible 'alves! TWG - 29 Feb 2012 13:45
good selection of ciders- served in a ladies glass for us femaels would make it even better.....using lager galsses with advertising does not quite 'cut it' ... only 1 loo and not in very good working order !- lets it down. ladiesview - 3 Oct 2011 11:13
They had a Sheppys real cider in very good condition, and an Angus Whitehead cider as well. jgurney1 - 6 May 2011 21:12
I've walked around this area for a good few years & can't understand how I've missed this little gem. Excellent choice of ales on all weel kept, I had Hopback Crop Circle, they also had Ringwood 49er, another favorite of mine and a couple of others including a mild. Very impressed by the menu, good unpretentious pub grub, I don't think there was anything on it over £9 in price. Everyone was well impressed. On the way out I noticed they've got a big garden on the other side of the car park as well. alan_From_SAWW - 26 Mar 2011 17:37
