There are now new land lord and lady - brother and siter they are the friendliest people ever! We go there qite often now for food they do fish and chip and a steak night t a very resonable price of £6.50! All of the locals are very friendly - occasionally live music and a beer festival which is always a great night! Very tidy and large bar area! And you have to try the lasagne!

It is nearly two years since I made the initial entry. The Cartwheel now seems to require the urgent attention of a wheelwright - and a wheelman as well (which is what an American will call a helmsman).

There seems to have been a total loss of direction. The atmosphere has been lost, and neither the food nor the drink is worth the effort of the road journey.

Gets very crowded at weekend lunchtimes. Enjoyed the food and the beer is well kept.
The customers of the Royal Oak at North Gorley seem to have gravitated here now that the good will of the place has been frittered away.

A great country pub, well worth a visit. Does well cooked pub grub with some excellent specials. Beer is limited to Ringwood with an occasional guest ale. Has lots of regular quizs (general knowledge and music) and events e.g. midsummer ball and Halloween party.
