| I went into the pub last night (Sunday 6th Nov). It was quiet but the lady behind the bar was very friendly and the beer was good. They had 4 ales on (including a mild!). It's a good venue. The people who ran it a year or two back spent a small fortune on refurbing the place and then tried to move it upmarket on the food front. It was OK but you need to have some serious wonga to keep the early momentum up. I hope the current management get some support as they seem to be doing the right thing! | pub now re-opened early evening, serving drinks only, awaiting full kitchen re-furb as preavious tenants had removed everything! Greene King have been trying to get the pub back for over six months and have been very helpful to the new tenants, who want it to be a locals pub with food. | I've been in here 3 or 4 times since it re-opened and love it. It's a really nice change from the other pubs in town: clean, comfortable and relaxed. With friendly, welcoming staff/management. Great selection of drinks, although a combination of these and a late license can be a bit dangerous! Certainly my favourite pub in Farnham at the moment. arp - 27 Feb 2011 22:08 |
