| I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews I was expecting the worst but was truly impressed.I was recommended the Gallery by several friends, as a cool venue for food, drink and a nice crowd. It has true potential no expense spared, on the lights, sound & decoration. I talked to the marketing/day manageress Mariam (very pleasant & friendly girl.) and learned that the Gallery is now under new management with strict new dress code in place for entry. They have introduced theme nights for future events, special deals for those who attend the resturant for a meal free access to the club with entry to the VIP room and a glass of champagne. Music was Rn'b Bashment, funky house, hip hop & dance hall. The place was humming with atmosphere. It is a match for any decent club in the west end, in my view. The prices are slightly on the high side for drinks but very reasonable for food. The staff were efficient and friendly. I think that security have their work cut out for them but were pleasant in their approach to dealing with customers both inside and out side the club. The volume of people trying to gain entry exceed the capacity of the venue at times.Best to go early so as to avoid disappointment. Finally.. I can say it surpassed my expectations on all counts, with exception to drinks pricing. It is truly worth considering for a memorable night out..it's currently on my list of favourites. thepubspy1 - 28 Jan 2008 14:00 |
| Felt a bit naff going in midweek with the multicoloured lights illuminating the Hendon Way outside.. there were about 10 people in there, we sat at the bar & were served with drinks & a bowl of hot chips / dip really quickly. I've been in here once on a weekend before & thought it was packed full of pretentious wide-boys so wasn't that impressed, but it's done out nicely & tries really hard so I'll probably be back but prefer the week nights I think. | Was here on a girls night out recently and it was so much fun! Crowd has changed alot recently. More of a mixture now in the bar. We were well looked after for the entire evening. Food in the restaurant was fab! Definitely go again soon. anonymous - 20 Dec 2006 15:00 |
| Still an appalling venue. Odd crowd. Bad music. Overpriced drinks. Miserable eastern european bar staff. Bouncers wth serious attitude problems. Tacky Gawdy decor. Avoid like the plague. HLC - 8 Dec 2006 20:22 |
| We visited the restaurant on Saturday night, well the bar, restaurant and then back to the bar for a bit of a bogie with the girls from work, some had been here before. I thought the place was beautiful. Considering that the restaurant was full the service was good, we didn’t wait too long for anything. Will defiantly be taking my hubbie for a meal and a drink in the new year. smellykate - 7 Dec 2006 18:19 |
