By the looks of this website a lot of mud has been thrown at this pub, and it simply isn't deserved, or applies to the pub before it was refurbished. I frequent The Hendon on a regular basis and I always have a good night there. The music on a Friday and Saturday is really good and very eccletic, so it suits a range of tastes. Maybe its because I am a regular, although I don't believe this is the case, but the staff are nothing but friendly and always provide top customer service. My advice: Give it a go. anonymous - 6 Sep 2007 14:38
what can i say about this venue?Rubbish place, staff with attitude, owner who is big headed for nothing, unpleasant patrons.I thought the owners would have sorted out this gutter by now.My last visit was on a saturday night.I arrived around 10.25 and at the door was a peroxide blood and a size 30 girl accompanied with two door bouncers. They told me i had to part with £3.00 to get in.Given that the pub was half empty i didnt see the reason for charging..well being proffessional and polite i handed her a two pound coin and two fifty pence coins and so did my colleague. We ordered our drinks and settled in seats near the entrance so that we could see what was going on.We noticed that some people were going in free after a few huggs and perks between them and the peroxide blood.Obviously the regulars get in free.A group of six people, four girls and two lads approached the door and were told to pay £3.00.they paid and as usual no ticket is issued. What we saw shocked us.The peroxide blood and the size 30 model shared the money. This pub has to get its act together the staff are very rude it looks as if they are doing you a favour when it is supposed to be the otherway round. This pubs biggest selling point is the music other than that there is nothing more to it.We left this pub within 30 mins and went to the gallery where it more classier and staff will go out of their way to help you. TO THE MANAGEMENT OF HENDON: SORT THIS PLACE OUT OR GET SOMEONE ELSE TO RUN IT IF YOU HAVE FAILED. AS TO THE STAFF: GET YOUR ACTS RIGHT OR GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE. sdoo - 28 Jun 2007 13:30
Britain in microcosm - and thus a very sad indictment of where we stand as a country today. Truly grim - a riot of primary colours, teenagers trying to look cool and orange food - and all of it on one of the most unpleasant stretches of highway in the UK. This pub doesn't even have the decency to be small given that it has approximately the equivalent floorspace to Wembley Stadium. Someone please come and save Hendon. BoehmBawerk - 1 Jun 2007 13:24
The food is okay and fairly cheap, and it's handy when there is football on. vic_of_india - 3 Apr 2007 17:49
