Good for a pint of Pride and a bowl of chips - which was not too big a bowl either, what is it with so many eating places that give you too much and charge you for it? Then people are surprised that we have such a problem with being the obesity boys. That as I say was not the case here. It is also suitable dark and brass-shiny unlike the bland 'ooh don't say the p-word' (that's 'pub') approach that is killing our taverns as surely as anything in Chesterton. I would return.

big, unpretentious pack-'em-in and serve-'em-quick place.

One of the better pubs in the area. Friendly staff and decent beer. Keep it up.

I can only agree with both Boony and his friend Marc, although the Guinness is that much sweeter when they're paying for it.

This pub needs a dartboard.

Much-improved following refurbishment, spacious with plenty of seating.Decent guinness, and efficient and attentive bar staff. Can get busy when football is on the big screen. Busy carpet.

My mate Marc says it's cheap and a good session boozer - he's wise, and what he says is good enough for me.
