Can confirm the priceyness of the Wherry, however was a very good pint and a great view.

Woodfordes Wherry now 350p a pint and Fosters nearly 400p a pint.

Dreary interior against a great riverside view.

Nearest pub to the station now that the Angel has closed, a bit of a cafe bar style, nice views of the river, can't say it would be worth a detour for, Woodfordes Wherry was £ 3.35 a pint, which is ridiculous, but it was open at 1100 on Saturday morning.

On my only time in Ely in October , this one required a visit as it is in my GPG 2009. Was early Friday evening and busy with "blue collar" and "white collar" afterwork types, plus people just having a pint like myself.

Can see that in the summer it must be a lovely setting away from the centre of town, and I thought it was OK. Didn't eat there but the beer was fine. Does enough to be a 'lucky dip', but I couldn't see how this could have been a Main Entry in the GPG in 2008.

6 or 7 out of 10.

Woodforde Wherry and a Fullers beer on tap and overpriced at 300p a pint and a cheese sandwich 600p..!

There are a lot of better pubs in town but I guess you pay for the riverside view.
