Have been here a few times and have been impressed. Thatchers and Bombadier were well kept.

Oh my goodness! Love this pub, but went to the pub quiz on Sunday night... Not for the fainthearted! There were probably about 180 questions and no time in between! (There is a 1/2 time break, but I needed to have a lie down by then). On top of the constant questions, you have to cope with the quizmaster pronouncing things a bit strangly (e.g. "animoils" for "animals" etc.) I had tears running down my face and had the funniest night in a long time...

Nice pub, nice beer but the best bit is the quiz on a Sunday night - quite difficult and lots of fun as well. Gareth, the regular quiz master is a star, very much a showman, looks just like Hugh Grant, and even sounds like him although he is Welsh! Definately recommended!

Lovely place to spend a few hours, nicely decorated inside, good Cider (stoford press if i do remember correct), and JENGA! They do what sounds like very nice food as well, were only in for a drink though will have to go back- maybe stroll down Great Pultney street for their beer & sandwich for £4(ish- cant remember quite for some reason) offer one lunchtime. 9/10.
