Managed a couple of pints in here last Saturday before last orders. My first visit. Pleasant "proper" pub, with strangely camp decor and some ales in good nick. An enjoyable experience all told.

We visited this friendly pub on a Friday evening. It was buzzing but not noisy.
We were a party of six seasoned tasters and one teenager.

London Pride , two Theakstons and others, which we variously sampled were all well kept. Its the first time I'd been in here for about twenty years but we'll be back. By the way the staff I dealt with were fine, so I don't know if the grumpy landlord is still there.

Definitely a good starting place for a night out and it wouldn't be a problem to meet friends and stop there all night.

I really like this pub. It's nice and traditional with two rooms, and is very comfortable.

They've even got board games like "Operation" if you fancy a game.

Great pub. Just a pity about the miserable landlord.

A great pub for a quiet drink. It has retained two separate rooms, is well decorated (look at the etched windows for example) and has several well kept beers.
