| Great little pub with eccentric lanlord and friendly barmaid. The garden is lovely in summer, and in winter the big fire is welcoming. Good ale, and the food is superb. | Located 3ml from the City centre, this samll pub has a true country feel, the small bar adding to the feeling of intimacy. Regular jazz evenings, and a nice garden. Butcombe Bitter and Taylor Landlord usually of a reasonable standard. Jimbo Smith - 13 May 2004 10:42 |
