Very quiet on a Sunday evening visit with only one other customer. We arrived to late for food (until 8 P.M.) but the menu looked good and we got the impression that most trade on a Sunday was for lunch. Strangely, there was only Banks' bitter on keg, but well kept pints of Ringwood Bitter were very welcome as was the polite and friendly service. cheesyal - 30 Aug 2010 09:57
Went to this pub twice in two days. Had an evening meal both nights were meals were very good with good helpings. A nice pint of ringwood bitter there were also Hobgoblin and another cask ale but i think it was Brakspear. But the Ringwood was very well kept so stayed on that. The toilets were very clean and too. westminster - 9 May 2010 19:50
i went here last weekend and unfortunately had a very bad experience, i ordered food(simple cod and chips) and chips were frozen in middle, i also had to complain about the drink, i had fosters sorry undrinkable! im not sure but i think the landlord was drunk and asleep in the bar area where customers sit. so overall wont be going back.the pub opposite is far superior, this is where i would recomend(if i can say that) fortnite - 9 Nov 2007 19:02
This Bank's pub really serves up tremendous food. There is a large restuarant which is clean, light and airy. The memu is extensive, and the food truly delicious and very well presented. The Sunday Carvery is the focal point for many villagers with a generous discount give to OAPs. This is the best Sunday lunch I have ever had in a pub. Beware though, you need a big appetite. For kids there is a bouncy castle and a large garden to play in. For smokers there is an outside heated area. For drinkers there are two fairly large bars with a good selection of drinks. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. anonymous - 1 Oct 2007 14:04
Attractive looking pub in the village. One real ale on (Banks) which was ok and cheap. They did food but I didn't try it. Womble - 17 Apr 2005 09:19
