Good pub, the first one you come to when walking from the canal to the town centre.

Good quality beer and nice atmosphere.

Customers enjoy playing dominoes.

Despite the recent refurbishments being 'sympathetic', in my opinion this has taken away some of the character of the place. However, excellent ales and a friendly, welcoming landlord keep this pub upo there with the best.
