Went there a few years ago and it was baaadddd. Gave it another try on Friday, and it was even worse.
Surprisingly empty at lunchtime, crowded in the evening but only one member of staff on at both times.

Was shocked at the price of a round, as they had given doubles (unmetered) without confirming. Ho ho weights and measures he we come.

But the biggest crime was selling flat bitter, at the temperature of lager, with no head (not that it could have held one anyway).

Sorry nothing good to say about this place. Harp and the Ship and Shovel are less than ten minutes away, go to one of these places, or anywhere down Whitehall, or anywhere else full stop.

Now called "Nancy's" and seems confused about what it's trying to be...somehow it doesn't quite work. Plus points were very friendly and nice barman, negatives were the extortionate prices (£4.65 for a small glass of wine), faceless decor and inane quotes on the walls.

All the previous reviews were completely correct, to the point that even the landlord agreed... so he sold up. It's now UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.

They've got decent beer (Becks, Star, Leffe, Guinness and a couple of cask ales), good food and are trying to create a bit of atmosphere - give it a try and see what you think.

One of those nice pubs that has sadly lost its charm and ended up as the last place to pop into for a pint. Shame as it was one of the better ones around.

Bloody horrible. Feels like a backstreet khazi in the middle of nowhere rather than a pub within sight of Trafalgar Square, which is quite amazing really. Perhaps it could be a Life on Mars theme boozer. Looks like it was done up in 1973 and hasn't been touched since, the Guinness is horrible, and while the barman was a nice guy he didn't really seem sure of what he was doing.

Just think what this pub could be with a bit of love and affection... a sad, sad waste.
