A friend and I popped into this branch of All Bar One for a bite to eat and were pretty disappointed with what we received. First of all, there were a lot of dishes missing from the menu, though to give credit where credit's due our waiter gave both explanation and apology for this, and the staff don't normally offer table service there so he was going out of his way to be helpful to us. Yet it was the food itself which was lacking. We ordered flatbread with two types of houmous - plain and caramleised red onion - and the latter just turned out to be a bowl of houmous with some red onion dumped on top of it. Not sure what we were expecting, but they could barely be classified as exotically as two different types of houmous! We also had some prawns, which had supposedly been marinated in chilli oil but were completely tasteless and served, rather oddly, in a bowl of olive oil; and some sort of tempura chicken with was served with a dip of....olive oil. It wasn't the worst food ever, just there was nothing special about it; it had clearly been made without care or thought; and the weird garnishes and sauces again showed this lazy lack of care or concern. It did the job but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're a spectacular c*nt (and you like taxpayer funded bonuses you sh*tbuscuit) then you might like it here.

If not, avoid - and don't think of going to the pitcher and piano either - also a bad call.

Unless you're a c*ntbucket.

Beer to cold if they have any to serve. Takes forever to get served, It's a pub to pass through on route from the river to the high street.

I've been working here for 3 months now, and from what I've been told, it's doing a lot better. There has been a almost complete staff turnover, under new management, which has been proactive to improving the bar's reputation. Brunch is on offer at the weekends which seems to be popular, and we have a new menu launching 13th Oct.

I think it deserves another chance, and perhaps if it still doesn't appeal to people, you can comment on it and we can see what we can do!

I'll rate this place slightly higher than the 2.2/10 average it currently has. Whilst I've been to a lot worse places for a drink, this is a typical example of a chain pub with a fairly raucous atmosphere in the evenings. The interior is bland and uninspiring. Service was the worst aspect. I waited nearly 5 minutes to get served initially whilst one barman walked backwards and forwards trying to look busy but doing nothing at all. I assumed he was the glass collector and didn't push for him to serve me. But he later served me another round. The other member of the bar staff was more interesting in serving one of the 'regulars' (Lord knows how they have any) who still had some left in his glass, rather than serving somebody who had been waiting 5 minutes. So very poor service. London Pride was kept far too cold. The only plus points for me were the convenient location and the draught Aspalls and bottled Weston's Organic cider. I'm sure I'll be dragged along here for another work's do at some point in the future. But I'll do so with reluctance.
