Hammersmith doesn't do trendy bar (does Edward's count as trendy, I think not), so Hit's attempt so be welcomed. The bottled beer is, well bottled beer so its not really going to taste any different from anywhere else. The cocktails are adequate though not inspired. I've only used it on a week night, but I suspect it gets quite busy on a weekend.

We had our joint birthday bash at Hit Bar in Hammersmith on Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic - the manager (Eddie) made sure everything went without a hitch, providing us with a fab DJ and generally making everyone feel welcome. All 100-odd guests had a really great night and left raving about the bar. I think it's a real shame the last review was so negative - there was obviously a misunderstanding as I've found the staff at Hit to be courteous, friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Nice staff, useless organisation. I and two mates booked a party here nearly two months in advance of the date that would have brought about 100 west londoners to this venue, most of whom had never been before.

They cancelled us 10 days before the event. The manager was over-ruled by somebody else who had made a tentative booking with a semi-regular club night who hadn't even bothered to make a formal booking.

Self-interest prevailed yet they offered us no other options or anything by way of incentive to move the booking. They wouldn't even let us use a space at one of their other venues.

We were left with a load of people invited to an event with no venue. As well as the locals some mates were travelling down from Scotland (it was a joint 30th for three schoolmates).

So go for a drink there, but book anything and you're taking a big, big risk...

Ok for a quick drink. Handy if you are going to the Palais or the Apollo. It is the only trendy (ish) pub in Hammersmith so beggers can't be choosers. Food is good although service is slow.

Don't eat or expect a late drink here.
Went here for my birthday. Cocktails I liked a lot but the night was a let down because we ordered food, which was basically fast food and gave up after 45 minutes. They were kind enough to refund us.

Tried again a month later because we like the drinks but this time the staff, who are really hard work, decided to stop serving at 11.
