user reviews of the Oak Inn, Burton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Having lived in the area all my life and having frequented this pub on a regular basis I feel that the negative comments posted about this pub are very misleading as I have found the pub to be very clean welcoming and the staff very hospitable with hardly any trouble with a good mixture of younger and older generations getting along very well. I eat here on a regular basis and the steak melts in the mouth! The Landlord and Landlady are very friendly and take time out to get to know their customers. Pop in and have a pint.

Being a relatively new customer to this pub I have to strongly suggest that the early reviews regarding this pub be removed. The Pub is under new management since some of the reviews were posted and I believe this site now misleads your readers. I have in the last 12 months found the pub to be exceptional. I personally eat in the pub at least twice a week. There are odd occassions when you will wait a little while for your meal but this is purely due to the fact that the produce is fresh and simply needs to be prepared. Mick and Gill are extremely welcoming and the atmosphere is friendly to say the least. Give it a go, what have you got to loose!

Ringwood Best was ok but pub needs something more than one young kid running between bars. Watched a couple order food and don't know if they ever got it but they were waiting a very long time. If you do live in Burton it is a million times better than the Manor Arms and I would probably have to buy before I used it regularly. Sorry Landlord that doesn't mean I offered.

The Oak Inn is now under new management and is undergoing a substantial revamp. A fresh new menu is being introduced. Children and dogs are welcome. The pub has friendly atmosphere with live music on Saturday nights.
