The calverts has lost a lot of it's appeal since it opened just over 10 years ago. It used to be a good well run pub , with friendly staff and a good base of loyal customers who would enjoy the fairly priced food and drinks that were on offer . Time has moved on sadly and the calverts court is no longer the place to go. It has turned into a hell hole , the staff are miserable and the service reflects this . There is also a large amount of drug missuse which goes on in the toilets . Avoid at all costs unless you like chavs then the calverts isn't the place to visit. expubworkerstockport - 19 Dec 2011 16:17
Went early doors prior to an engagement in the area and was not as bad as I thought it would be. Couple of ales on and decent. Served quickly, locals were a bit chavvy but not a problem. Could'nt comment about evenings though. Certainly not the worst JDW pub i've been in. ng10 - 11 Aug 2011 09:18

Visited here again this week to meet up with some friends. 5 Christmas seasonal beers were on, tried 3 and had to return 2 of them. Service horrifically slow and the best the food can be described as is 'fuel'. Horrible experience. f1_mw - 29 Dec 2010 10:57
In the Wethers car park on the RHS I got a £95 parking ticket recently from a scam firm 'Valid Parking', which is now £150 from another debt collecting scam firm 'Roxburghe' as I refuse to pay it. The signs are not illuminated and I was there for 10 mins on a Friday night at 10 pm and it was dark. This is a dirty scruffy pub and the toilets stink. It needs shutting down for a total make-over. Wetherspoons, you can do better than this. The staff are OK though. THE PARKING SCAM MUST BE STOPPED. 7thEarlLordLucan - 2 Dec 2009 01:31
