| I stopped on my cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats. Although officially they'd stopped doing food when they found out what I was doing the chef came out and I had a big plate of salad and pate... including extra bread. Had two excellent pints as well. | The Fools Nook has the most pleasant atmosphere of any of the over 100 pubs which I have visited in the last 9 months.The food is terrific, but it is the people - Pat my waitress - IS THE LICENSEE! Her husband is the Chef and everyone else is part of a big happy family (maybe not so big)I do not normally have a nightcap after my evening meal, but here I had a dram of Oban just to delay my departure.
