what has happened to this once great pub. it used to be brimming with fun and good food now its a run down shadow of its self very dissapointing indeed. a sad place to revisit needs investment and drive..... Darken123 - 28 Feb 2010 08:23
I was greeted by a very friendly barmaid before I even got to the bar and was served a well poured pint of Guinness, although it wasn’t the best quality. A standard draught selection was available along with Staropramen as well as Pride, but the Greene King IPA was off – which isn’t a bad thing. Sky Sports is shown and there is a plasma screen in the front bar and two in the back bar along with a couple of pool tables and a dartboard, but I didn’t spot the third table or the table football advertised above. The music was a little loud, but I can’t argue with a little Hendrix being overbearing on the ears! This would be the sort of place I would pop to on a lunch break from work for some pub sports, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink here any other time. Strongers - 16 Oct 2009 23:04
The beer was good, service quick, and a BBQ outside. The Assie manager was a a character. All in all a good visit! Barfiddler - 25 Jul 2009 14:45
If you are a fan of traditional British pubs then this is not the place for you. It was like being on the set of an American sitcom. Absolutely disgusting. nickthefish - 29 Dec 2008 09:36
