I can put everything about this pub into 2 words "A DUMP". The landlord has the personality of a dead fish, the bar staff are thick and stupid. The place stinks, the beer is rotten and even smells off. i couldn't drink it and had to ask for a bottled beer that the landlord gave me after much protest. The locals are all mad. One in particular told so much crap that i was convinced he was the source of the smell from the bull he was speaking, incidentally his nick name appeared to be "DAX" BE WARNED DONT TALK TO THIS TOSSER HE IS A NIGHT MARE you have been warned he will scramble your brain, apparently he is barred from most pubs for miles and this dive seems to be the only place that will serve him. To sum up the place now offers backpacker rooms for the night at £10, i would sooner sleep rough, thats said it all really. Avoid this place. tipler1964 - 30 Nov 2011 08:47

Being run by Paul McMullan, one of the whistle-blowing, former News Of The World journalists in the phone-hacking row. flashharry1965 - 13 Apr 2011 14:28
Beware - the sort of pub where you have to wipe your feet on the way out rather than the way in. New owner wants to introduce strippers and poker. A class joint. simonfinlay - 3 Mar 2011 15:45
