The pub is the greatest looking pubs in Aldershot. Also the staff are a fun quirky bunch especially that American bar maid. The Funky end is a diamond in the rough of Aldershot. If you go to The Funky end look for that American bar maid she is the friendliest of the bunch.

This used to be a gay & lesbian pub when this was The Southwestern but definately not now. It's more likely to be inhabited by metrosexuals because of it's trendy interior. They once done some filming in here for the TV series Changing Rooms (I think?!?) with Nick Knowles.

As one of the earlier posts quite rightly said there are no ales available but only ones like Carling, Stella etc. Quiz nights on Wednesdays are good fun and worth going to and the staff are friendly.

This is the sort of place where you'd go if you were on an office night out or if you are getting ready to go out clubbing. If you're over 35 then you may prefer to visit before 5pm...

Rumour has it that this is a gay bar. Although this could merely be a rumour, seemed quite trendy.

Looks like its trying to be one the trendy pubs that guildford up the road has, but didn't really work for me, might be the "banging" tunes and DJ bit that put me off. Friendly enough place for the most part though

Popped in here on a Saturday night while waiting for a bus. This feels more like a club than a pub. Moving lights were flashed onto a wall and modern dance music was being played at a volume that created atmosphere but still allowed for a sensible level of conversation. No real ale, but San Miguel and Hoegarden are available on tap. Plenty of young customers without being overly crowded. Far better than expected even for an aging bloke like me.
