Not too bad but a bit modern inside. No character to the place. The landlady was nice and friendly and quick to serve. Noticed a photo of the great Pat Jennings on the wall but sadly it was in an arse-nal shirt. Oh dear.

Great pub. I'm a local and along with the griffin this is the best pub in Whetstone. All the others are a bit soulless.

Irish bar staff are good fun, and I always get into good conversation when I go here.

I used to go to this pub before the refurb, and it was nice and cosy then but the staff were horrible and I never wanted to stay long.

It's changed since the refurb, a lot bigger and spacious but it's still nice. The bar staff are great now, really friendly. It's great for watching sport on match days. The food is tasty as well, definitely a pub that I go to when i'm in Whetstone.

I quite liked this - small and cosy interior with a good local's feel on the weekday afternoon I visited. Two or three real ales and very friendly service from the Australian barman. In an area which appears to lack many other pubs, this is a decent enough place.

My first and only gripe with this place is that the bar is far too small for the size of the pub. The bar is opposite the entrance and It only takes 7 or 8 of the regulars to sit at it and you cannot get to it or get past to the upstairs toilet. They are not the fastest to move out of the way either.

Bog standard lagers along with GK IPA, Landlord and pride are all available, but as mentioned it is a little pricey. The barmaid/landlady is friendly, but the younger staff need to cheer up a little and pretend that they enjoy working. There is a courtyard with some seating out the back and some more seating at the front on 2 main roads.

I never drank in here before the refurbishment so I have nothing to compare the place with, but there are a lot worse pubs around than this one and if I sit outside I can see my bus home coming.
