went in mid-week lunchtime. the broadside was a good pint.try the steak guiness and mushroom pie was expensive at 10-80 for a deep pot pie which was good steak served with thin french fries and peas.good pub but expensive

Generally busy pub, serving food all day.

The quality of the food food is a bit mixed but the worst thing is the Adnams beer - it's possibly the coldest real ale I've ever had - served so cold it's flat and practically tasteless. There's absolutely no need for this abuse of what is normally a very tasty ale.

Warm and welcoming pub, well kept beer, good food, and friendly service. good value too.

Menu very good and service brisk, but watch out that the bill doesn't show extra items you haven't ordered - this has happened twice to us. Swirly carpets and paintwork need an update.
