We certainly think that this is the best pub in Topsham even if others don't.
It's cosy on the inside and the beer garden has some stunning views.
It's also away from all the hustle and bustle of Topshams high street.

Large pub by the river. 3 Otter beers and Tribute on offer yesterday with prices between £2.80 and £3.15 - I'd consider that expensive for the area. Whilst the Otter Bitter and Amber both tasted fine, I'm nor sure how they are dispensed. The handpumps are clearly fake so it must either be electric or some sort of pressure.

Extensive and expensive menu on display. Judging by the number of staff (3 in the Kitchen and 2 behind the bar) I assume it must get busy but it wasn't when we arrived about 1430.

Last month I had a Sunday lunch here and it was good, but the staff seemed stressed and it seemed understaffed to me.

Otter ales,not very exciting.

Great location let down by poor food and service. Could be so much better if the management and bar staff just showed a little more 'character'. Please, please avoid the sunday 'roast' - the meat was overcooked, the potatoes were burnt, the vegetables were mushy and the whole thing was swimming in bisto gravy. Disgusting.

Another charming riverside pub somewhat let down by charmless management and staff.
