| It was closed about 8-10 months ago for the refurbishment which MrReasonable eluded too.. The drugs thing was after. Similiar in style to the Boileroom. TheSensiblePubReviewer - 28 Jun 2008 11:41 |
| Ahh, back on 'cloud nine' (or was that 'passing cloud'?) Really does take me back that one beersupper ! Good old Guildford, everything changes but nothing realy changes. Why is it called Platform 9 ? Everyone still refers to it as the Plough. Closed or not, it's got to be worth a 6/10 for the pleasure of reading the last 2 reviews. Chuffed old Biker ! | No Mr.R.what you`ll find the place closed for a few months due to magic mushrooms found in the curry (or something in that vain)i thought i got a bit of a kick out of the burger i had.Hummm Beersupper - 27 Jun 2008 14:22 |
| You'll find Platform 9 has all been refurbished now. Its astonishing to think its the same venue as before quite a major job as been done, its no bigger than before less sitting space in fact with a MUSIC and DJ area. MrReasonable - 18 Jun 2008 12:54 |
| Can i ask a question how the heck do you get 40 people in this pub i know of larger loo`s.The Plough as Bikers says in the late 60`s early 70`s was a hard drinking den along with The Castle over the road (long gone). Also Biker ol buddy you mention The Kings Head (the one in town i take it)now that was also in the same period a "bikers" pub and a place where drugs were readily availible, and at the end of a night if you wanted to try and pull a bird or have a scrap there was jolly old Bunters!
