Visited Saturday 4th July.

Only one ale on the go - which was they Surrey Hills, a fine pint mind you. But perhaps they could do a little more ales?

The sitting areas are nice and reasonably spacious for a fairly small pub.

On the downside the home cooked food was somewhat disappointing, but perhaps I simply chose the wrong option from the menu. So right now i'd give it 8/10. Service was ok but not amazingly friendly.

Does need a little bit of maintanence around the edges.

Great local ales and lovely to eat here also.

Attracts a business class crowd at times.

Worthwhile in the summer too.

A lovely setting just by the Old Castle - so its a fine place to stop off if visiting the area or a local.

A visit the other day yielded some notable comments. First of all I was shocked at how empty the pub was, the two staff seemed rather bored.

The gentlemans room is a bit of a disgrace with no locks and a complete mess.

The beer is what is good about this pub. Only bad thing would be a pint of San Miguel costing £3.40 - admittedly it is a hopeless pale lager so its no great loss missing out on.

The Ascot ale and Ranmore ale are in fine working order and at £2 a pint it is excellent value.

Eating here is also a pleasant experience as we did the other day. The outside section is excellent for the summer weather but does on the downside attract smokers.

8/10

OK so it looks a bit like a coffee shop ! but with two well-kept Surrey Hills brews on tap (Shere Drop and either Ranmore or Gilt) and friendly staff it's on my very short list of places for swift one after a throat parching hike around the shops. This week they've had both Ranmore and Gilt Complex at £2 a pint ...works for me, and its down hill to the bus stop! ;-)

Called in the other night and it was very quiet,2 real ales on (I could only see 2 real ale punps on the bar)The pub has lost its olde Guilford pub touch,it has been done out well but a pub look it ain`t.
Lager was good.
I can see where Beersupper is coming from, but I do wish this pub well.
Poss. some where to take your g/f for a cozy drink.
