I'm not sure if thats how u spell it cos its been 2 years since i was last there but i know its still there. If you out and about in the middle of Manchester don't bother looking for it on foot because it not easy to find, get a cab . Its extravigant, exclusive. You feel like your sitting in a giant living room in the biggest most popular mansion in the world. The drinks are evry expensive but i found that wine is only £10 on the bottle. I took up a seat on a leather suite with friends peering out over the docks. DOwnstairs there is a huge stage and what feels like a rave going on constantly with pumping house and trance while upstairs is popular tunes and classical stuff. Dress up, this place deserves it!! Overall 9/10 because its a little expensive and you have to look top totty to get in!! http://barblog.blogdrive.com/ ---> UK BARBLOG altdesigns - 7 Sep 2005 13:38

Couldn't agree more about the I love myself people in here. They probably save up all month for one night out and spend it in here....mugs! Decor is good, and the place is big enough...just no real atmoshpere. Dave - 15 Nov 2004 18:19
Loaf: Deansgate Locks: Loaf is located on the Deansgate Locks; this lock is one of the largest in the area, with two floors taking up twin railway arches. Upstairs is split into a bar area and a restaurant, and downstairs has another bar and a club area. On the lower floor you can sit on the decking. The prices for drinks and food are not cheap, but I suppose they can be seen as 'reasonable'. You get what you pay for, good quality none of the cheap watered down stuff you get else where. There is usually a huge queue to get in and the doormen are supposed to be full of attitude - I didn’t witness any of that. My Opinion: I went in on Saturday night with a few of my mates to meet some others for one of the lads 21st. I was actually looking forward to it because I had never been before. Oh my god was I disappointed – firstly there was no queue so I was happy about that we walked in and found the group straight away (sat right near the door -it was freezing) and when we looked around it was full of ‘I love myself’ people just stood hovering near the window as if to say to passers by – look im in loaf – Woo f-in Hoo!!!! Give me a cheesy bar any night this place is awful! We went downstairs and there were more posers stood around – not speaking to each other just stood there – I was very uncomfortable and will NOT be going back - the music was also awful. To top off this ‘wonderful bar’ one of the lads got started on for no reason and had his top ripped!!! There is just no need, we go out to have a good night and relax from the week why start fighting?! It only ruins people nights! The plus side was the head doormen bought them a bottle of champagne. We left at 12.00 and went somewhere we could go and have a laugh. And yes the décor is nice. Amy - 24 Mar 2004 11:46
