Top pub, and my dad's frequent Hide out... George the landlord is a top fella, even if he is a geordie!! thinks he's good at pool, he's crap! Little bit on the pricey side, but decent pint none the less.. only employs female bar staff.. could be a good thing if he employs attractive ones!! Jon_Boy - 12 Apr 2006 02:50
Has gone on roller coaster ride since an earlier landlord departed abruptly and the range of home brews has changed. Since then the ales have not been as good nor the atmosphere as lively. Sometimes has live music, usually serves lunchtime meals as it's at the entrance to Paradise Park. Children welcome in dining area. No steps - wheelchair accessible pub (though toilet access might be a bit narrow). gwiwer - 12 May 2005 14:38
Home of the "Wheal Ale" brewery, this pub is in the entrance to the famous Paradise Bird Park. It was originally the Paradise Brewery, but was renamed after a takeover some years ago. They don't brew the range of ales that they used to, but the beer is still excellent! One of Cornwall's growing micro brewing havens! Andrew Carter - 23 Mar 2004 13:04
