A great old pub, friendly and welcoming. A top pint of addlestones. Went in for a pint, stayed all night. Didn't have the food but it smelt nice, and was well priced. Would come back just for the atmosphere. Bathmatt - 17 Mar 2012 15:46
Some may say it's one of the better Greene King pubs in Stratfraud. Regulars mostly from the Grim Industrial North, other clients are daytrippers from the North or worse, Wales. If you wish to be brought down to the level of Stanley Ogden, this is for you. Vile. Naomily - 4 Dec 2011 22:46
Pleasant enough pub. Choice of ales, staff friendly as well as the customers. Definately would use again. ng10 - 11 Aug 2011 09:33
Spent a weekend in Stratford and went in The Garrick due to its appearance in the GPG. Beautiful old building, lots of old photos. Cracking Sunday lunch, and good beer. Lord_Jeffers - 6 Jul 2011 09:41
Never been much of a fan of Stratford as a whole, plastic olde England for American and Japanese tourists.....Poundland and souvenir shop signs detracting from the interesting architecture.....bung a couple of quid on everything and the punters will lap it up. Quite liked this pub though, looks the part and you could probably have a bit of a session in it if you could monopolise the front bar. Real ale was rather nice, cider was rather nice, bar staff was rather nice...you get the drift...worth a vist or two. Blastbeat - 25 Feb 2011 10:11
