I too visited the Queens head yesterday great pub in lovely village bar snacks on bar, good beer, good company, clean pub what more can i say. On previous visits have been with the children and wife all made welcome and the children loved playing the selection of board games. gubbsy - 16 Jan 2012 19:04
We visited yesterday - Glad to see the new owners are still on top of things, everything still as good as it was on our previous visit!! Keep it up QH!! PissFlap - 16 Jan 2012 14:36
Heaven forbid that 'PissFlap' has anything to do with the new management, despite the remarkakable change in views. I think I'll wait for some more (evidently) independent opinions. pub_aficianado - 14 Nov 2011 16:05
What a great transformation!! Splendid pub now, nice beer (Hubby said his 3 pints of Spitfire were the best he had tasted for a long long time), clean inside and out, spotless toilets and keen, knowledgeable staff. So well done to the new owners - Hubby and I will be back! Recommended!! PissFlap - 11 Jun 2011 15:14
I used to avoid this pub in the past. Not now though. New owners and lovely new decor make it worth a visit. I went midweek two weeks ago, and the Adnams was top notch and the food (home cooked I believe) very good. Makes Downe village a worthwhile place to visit again Stevie_Ray - 6 Jun 2011 20:00
