Done up v.nice, beer was tasty too. Must go back and try it again - need a bit more time, next time. Need a bit more cash too. But v.clean and v.attentive staff. Be over in March off_down_the_farmers - 5 Jan 2012 20:06
Visited on a Sunday lunch time - really poor food (all meat and veg served on one main plate to divide up between table - had to ask for more veg), forgetful staff, very disappointing. Not one to visit again. Malvern77 - 25 Sep 2009 12:57
Very disappointed with the attitude of the landlord. The staff were too young and nervous. Don't think there is enough competition in the area. Gastropub prices with chip shop service. lbichard - 31 Aug 2005 10:51
My local. I am not going to recommend this pub though. If I do more people will visit it, its hard enough to get a table now :) Say no more? Wise - 5 Jul 2005 09:39
Attractive, yet sophisticated country pub/restaurant. Nestling in pretty countryside, set against stunning backdrop of The Malvern Hills. Atleast 5 (yes five) top-notch real ales (well kept too), including Hook Norton, Butcombe and Woodfordes the last time I was in. Excellent 'top of the range' meals also, but glad to see that it remains firmly a cosy pub in character and look, rather than a rustic restaurant (as so many have sold out to the eaters these days). I wasn't at all surprised by the message on the blackboard, proudly stating it was recently awarded 'Best Pub in Worcestershire'. Paul Allison - 15 Mar 2004 13:43
