Excellent pint of Marstons Pedigree and guest ( Jennings) . Evidence of good menu .. good alternative to The Cat and Fiddle .

Pub was very quiet during this afternoon visit but at least it was open!

Smart stone-built Marstons pub in the middle of nowhere just off the A537 Buxton-Macclesfield road. It's very foody and upmarket, not really a walkers pub although they aren't unwelcome. Jennings, Burton Bitter and Pedigree on sale, Pedigree was it's usual reliable if unremarkable self. Food looked good but not cheap. 1 bar room and 2 other rooms reserved for dining. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Not a bad pub but not one for the drinkers.

The Stanley Arms has gone to the top of our list of country pubs to visit for a weekend away in the country with friends. On arrival(before enjoying an afternoon walk in the beautiful surrounding area) we were greeted with a very warm welcome - all the staff were very nice throughout our stay. Excellent accommodation, delicious food, good beer and fine wine - everything we could want. Will be returning again very soon.

A very pleasant country pub with open fires and tables outside for good weather. Good food and probably the best-kept Pedigree I've come across. I go there more often than any other country pub.

Visited the pub after seeing the website comments and it is for sure a very special place, even has first class accommodation. Will for sure be going again with my family and we will if possible stay in those lovely rooms.
