The Beer quality HAS 'gone down like a drunk'.The excuse'it takes a lot of looking after' was trotted out.bah.

I believe the regeneration on the ales in the TS had a great deal to do with a duty manager called Phil Heather, unfortunatly he has been moved on again so i expect we will see the standards drop again.

I used to find a visit to the TS very dispiriting but over the last 9 months ,or so,the beer quality has dramatically improved,so much so,I can hardly believe it!--whats responsible? a new manager?-whatever the reason, its a good result.Feel sorry for the hard worked(short)staff(ed)situation. They deserve better.

The shortage of staff seems to be Wetherspoons policy, it is the same in all their pubs.

The Thomas Sheraton must be praised on the improvements it has made over the last 6 months, The quality and selection of ale is excellent, only problem is sometimes we see too many larger brews like the Directors, Old Peculier, Abbott and Spitfire. I have spoken to one of the mangers personally and he is trying to cut these down so we have more Micro beers. They have also had two ales made exclusively for the Thomas Sheraton which is good to see. Also the general cleanliness has improved. this makes for a nice enviroment.

My only down sides are like everyone else, the service tends to be quite slow, this i dont think can be contributed to the workload of the staff but more the amount of staff, as with any big business staffing is alwasy the first cut back. I remember about 6 years ago when you would have 12/15 people working a weekend night, unfortunatly now they have about 6/8.

Keep up the good work all at the Thomas Sheraton
