It's not too bad for a swift one in daylight hours! Also it opens at 10am so therefore handy for an early hairy dog alebear - 27 Jan 2008 20:50
Looked like the carpets and chairs hadn't been cleaned since this place opened. Where a mirror should have been in the mens toilets, there was instead a poster saying it had been 'smashed in an act of mindless vandalism'. Nice crowd, then. Pubgrabber - 28 Mar 2007 16:19
Looked lively, but never investiaged atmosphere aleman - 18 Feb 2007 02:23
I thought pubs that only sold lager were called wine bars (mind you that would be doing wine bars a dis-service calling this one). No bitters and expensive to boot. Sadly, typical of Alton town centre's pubs in its welcome. Gets a one cos I got served quickly. pazaa - 3 Jan 2007 13:30
This pub is an absolute disgrace and should not be allowed to call itself a pub. It's dark & dingy, the beers crap & over priced. The music is way to loud! It's dirty you can't lean on the bar or stand in the same place for too long or you get stuck and as for the toilets hold your breath and for god sake don't sit on the seat or you'd probably end up catching something. It's staff use to be good but all the decent ones had the sense to move on to better places where you can actually breath and don't risk getting glassed or bottled whilst working! It should be demolished and save itself anymore embarrasment!! anonymous - 3 Oct 2006 11:49
