Wow...what a difference!! The previous Miseries have departed, to be replaced by a friendly young couple who really know what they are doing! Sam is sending wholly decent Grub out of the kitchen, whilst Laurie has a fetish for Real Ale (as do I), and is not scared of trying new ones each week. The Spirit collection on the backbar is pretty interesting too! For anyone who had the mis-fortune of visiting under it's former "Tennant's", all I can say is give this a go - it's got to be the best Pub in Beaconsfield at present. bitterboy1970 - 21 Aug 2008 18:38
nice clean pub, but no atmosphere, have been twice on a saturday night and next to no one in there. other than that is pleasant enough. not tried the food but told it is quite nice. only real complaint is that the guy behind the bar seemed to have had more to drink than any of us. but hey it made it more interesting. cosmo1 - 6 Jul 2008 23:03
Pub changed hands recently and the new, young couple have really made a difference. It wasn't exactly a bad place before, but some subtle changes (new furniture, better bar food, extra TV screen, later opening hours) mean the Swan is now a great place to visit. Open mike night (which inevitably turns into group karaoke with a live musician) on certain Thursdays is top notch with full audience participation. New, more regularly changing real ales and dangerous cloudy cider offer better drinking options. Much better than the other pubs in Beaconsfield. deadleg - 27 May 2008 17:29
A nice Pub, run by arguably the WORST couple the licensing trade has ever seen!! Thank god they are finally on the move.....good riddance to bad rubbish! bitterboy1970 - 12 Dec 2007 15:32
A pretty nice neighborhood pub, with a nice back garden, and a good selection of beers. Staff has always been friendly. Don't know about the food....haven't eaten there yet. Toolman_Johnny - 30 Aug 2007 21:01
