| beconsfield is the centre of the 'souless gastro pub' universe. so having the swan available is such a relief. by a mile the best pub in beconsfield. nice low ceilings, and good pub atmopshere, can get really busy on weekend evenings. chiltern brewery bitter on tap which is always a good thing. | Would be a so-so pub anywhere else but in the pretentious hellhole that is Beaconsfield it's bloomin' marvelous! Interior is quite smart, having had a fairly recent makeover. The beer range is small-ish but usually well-kept; however, on a recent visit my pint came out of a pump marked London Pride into a glass labelled London Pride, so why didn't it taste like London Pride? Perfectly good ale and everything, just wasn't what I ordered. Ah well... Campanologist - 21 Dec 2011 17:28 |
| A much improved pub. Quick friendly service, clean. Three real ales on offer which is all you need if they are a balanced choice - which they were. Best pub in Beaconsfield. Dilgutty - 24 Feb 2011 10:24 |
| Quite a nice pub, the best we found in Beaconsfield. Quick efficient friendly service at the bar. Comfortable, clean & quiet drinking area to the right of the pub (looking from front door). Our round of drinks was the cheapest at this pub in Beaconsfield. Would we visit again - yes. davidfthorn - 25 Apr 2010 10:08 |
| Not sure If I've ever been to this pub before; decent range of three ales and the Adams Gunhill was very good. A very homely place which I had not expected existed in Beaconsfield. Look forward to spending some more time in here again. Booze_Allen - 22 Feb 2010 20:25 |
