You wouldn't be a Hartlepool fan by any chance? jagsfan - 4 Feb 2010 13:17
Went in here when my team, Hartlepool, were playing Col-U earlier this season. Before the game it was fairly quiet but afterwards there was a lot of people in watching the live TV match. Lager was really cheap, as was the food. Not sure it would be a place I would want to go often as it lacked a bit of life, but did the job at the time. Oh there was a very strange old bloke who directed us there from the station and was a home fan. This bloke then hovered around like a bad smell and we had to be very blunt to get rid of him. Wierdo seemed to be trying to pull one of the lads! Kentbeerboys - 4 Feb 2010 13:10
Quite nice now after the refurb. I went in after work on a weekday afternoon and there was a good mix of office types, workmen and general drinkers. 3 real ales on tap (IPA and Abbot, being a GK pub, and Speckled Hen). I had the Speckled Hen which was very pleasant. Recommended as a stop-off on the way to or from the station. McIntosh - 1 Sep 2008 12:28
Used to be a little bit old-man-and-dog, look-at-you-when-you-walk-in, if you know what I mean. Looking forward to seeing what it's like after a refurb. MagicKitten - 22 Jul 2008 17:53
