My previous comment for this pub has disappeared and maybe it was a little harsh. A toned down version is that this pub needs some serious TLC and it is good for watching football.

I can honestly advise you to avoid this pub like the plague.
Although the food and beer are bad, the worst element of this pub is infact the owner.
He is such a moody bastard it is incredible. And also very very rude when he gets very drunk, which is quite often, considering that he seems to be an alcoholic.
My friends and I used to joke about how bad the pub is when we went, but after one particularly bad experience with the owner, we stopped going, which, was a good thing..

Top Pub. Drinks are expensive but very understable because of the area. The Food is the best taste of foods i have had in a long time. The chef defiantly knos what she is doing. Brilliant for any sports on the big tvs, ypu can watch for where ever you are sitting.

Just to let those who them abusive comments from before. the pub is getting a makeover after the smoking ban. Which will be very pleasing to see when finished. The new beer garden is looking fantastci with the new look, the landlord here has defiantly done some major work here, Well done mate. Live music is played in the winter so if you like your irish bands, this is the place to be. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Charmless staff and the smell of disinfectant in the drinking area itself that emanated from the toilets was overpowering.....hilarously bad.

Still rubbish, sadly. This is a shame as most of the other pubs in the area have gone (or are about to go) gastro and there's now a distinct shortage of proper, old fashioned boozers. Unfortunately the Haverstock takes pretty much all the bad things out of 70s style boozers and very few of the good things. Best that can be said for it is that it's ok on a summer's afternoon when you don't actually have to sit in the pub, and it's excellent for football, it being possible to see a screen from practically anywhere.
