Following our last review in December I can report very little seems to have changed. Still run by the Portugese. Never seems to get busy at a lunch time. The staff are also pleasant to me and the Boyz. WaitorseBoyz - 5 Oct 2007 13:46

Went to this pub for the first time recently. My inital reaction from outside was that this was going to be a bit rough but having ventured inside, there were 2 empty pool tables (always good!), the footie was on and everyone, especially the bar staff seemed friendly. All was well until the locals walked in and made sure we knew it was their pub/tables by seeing which of them could swear and generally intimidate the most. Initial reactions are usually right! jimbowhu - 15 Apr 2007 14:37
I visited this pub for the first time last Sunday and was very surprised by the friendliness of staff, the delicious food and the good atmosphere. It was a great experience and I shall frequenting this pub more often. Yes, as people have stated, it is run by the Portuguese, which is great, as they know about food and treating their customers well. It had the added bonus of being able to watch the footie, great pub all round. anonymous - 1 Mar 2007 10:33
Very "council". Beer and service were fine, but the place is a dump. It's the kind of pub where everyone stops to look at you when you walk in, and I got the impression from looking at the customers that the place wasn't entirely unfamiliar with a good old ruck of a Friday night. Very much a locals' boozer. steve5312 - 31 Jan 2007 15:55
