Now North Surrey CAMRA Pub of the year 2012. Always at least two local ales from the likes of Windsor & Eton, Ascot, Pilgrim etc and always on good form. Cincinnatus - 13 May 2012 19:42
Strayed in this place a couple of years ago, was quiet but that has dramaticaly changed really busy place great music, food and beer. Hats off to the guys who turned it around! mostlyginandtonic - 27 Sep 2011 16:13
Currently sitting in the thyme at the tavern after moving from Newcastle due to work and I can safely say this is now my new local. The ambience and clientele are fantastic, within minutes of walking in everyone was kind and curteous and the banter is spot on. They serve a good selection of beers, ciders and wine as well as spirits and pure brew ales. Weekly music and open mic nights look to be a treat and the bar staff and friendly, helpful and inviting. A cosy outdoor seating area is available and they serve food on Sunday's. I recommend this pub to all those looking for a great local night out. 5 stars. (note: as a northerner I found the prices higher than back home at 3.50 a pint but given the ideal setting of the pub this is perfectly fine) Shockheadedpeter - 18 Sep 2011 20:54
What a happy find this pub turned out to be. May Day Weekend beer festival with a small but beautifully formed collection of ales and two ciders. Very friendly and welcoming landlord. Had a delicious and reasonably-priced Sunday roast which I ate in the pleasant beer garden. Will definitely be top of my list if I return to Chertsey in the future. pomona - 1 May 2011 23:02
I understand two more handpumps shortly being added with emphasis on local beers - always good quality. Many thanks to Robert and Nigel for letting me use the Thyme as my base for World Book Night. Cincinnatus - 6 Mar 2011 18:48
