Went to The Green Man in June, and have to say the food and the beer was excellent. It was on a saturday afternoon, and it was avery peaceful place to come and chat with friends. Youngs was good nick, and the staff were nice.

Pleasant Youngs pub, would meet many peoples expectation of an olde english pub, but with usual modern touches. Youngs was above average, staff and customers pleasant.

A pleasant pub with a good selection of beers and a friendly barman when I visited. Also has one of the poshest looking pub gents' loos I have ever come across!

If I had a penny for each hour that Ive spent in this inn
Id give the pennys to a boy and behold my joy begin
The boy would sing a song of love for all the world to hear
and I would sit in harmony refreshing of my beer

wow, i worked at this pub more than a decade ago and their was a couple of guys barred for terrible behaviour.

A hate campaign ensued .... with young's receiving letters from several unknown individuals with bogus claims against the managers.

Some of the posts on this page remind me of that.

Strange LOL
