Although I'm not normally a lover of Youngs' pub refurbishments, this place works. Lots of interesting nooks & crannies, good seating (front & back), decent food & good beer. Only criticism is the food is a bit poncey, particularly the chips set out as some form of jenga game. Wilson_MacDonald - 1 Jul 2008 13:59
Went there yesterday to check out the garden - wow!! What a place for a sunny Sunday afternoon, and no wonder they were packed out. The only downside is that they can't have music in the garden (which the guy I asked said was something to do with the estate to the rear of the pub not allowing them to put on - boo on them!). Wasn't able to resist a burger from the bbq, and guess what? It was amazing. Also like the fact that they now open the garden bar so you don't have to walk far for your Pimms. I agree with the comments by PDWR about the team. Never been served by anyone who wasn't down to earth and friendly. They have a lot more staff than they used to and it shows. I think they are doing an amazing job. All credit to Aggie. Cogitoergosum - 9 Jun 2008 15:32
I'm going to this pub more and more often and introducing a lot of people to it too. I've eaten a couple of times and it's been really good. I asked about Kew Brew (no longer available) and the next time I visited the replacement (not quite as hoppy)Kew Bond was there. This is a pub that listens to its customers and responds to their requests, plus they've got a good team on board. Even the music last night was brilliant, so much better than before. Go along and give it a try - you won't be disappointed. I know that Aggie the manager reads these reviews so please Aggie, keep up the good work and well done so far. PDWR - 29 May 2008 13:04
Very friendly and convivial traditional Youngs pub, 2 minutes walk from the excellent Telegraph. With these two pubs in such excellent form a visit to Putney Heath is a must! Seant - 26 May 2008 14:01
