Must be the local rock pub- seem to have a good area for bands to play. Recently had a lick of paint. Maybe new tenants? Good pint of robbies dissy blonde but not what I'd expect from a robinsons pub.

Not been in this Pub for about 18 months but I went in on Saturday 1st Nov and the beer was great and good atmosphere but the Band that was playing was dire. They played badly and the singer was equally bad but otherwise a good Pub and it was nice to be back.

Improved since new Landlord took over. Saw a band on Saturday (31st) called The Flat rats and they were amazing, had a great evening. Hope to see more Bands and hope to see The Flat rats again!!

I live near New Mills and have been in all the pubs. The Crown is right opposite the police station and the travellers' site, and if you know New Mills that makes the pub a relatively safe place to drink on a Friday and Saturday night. The town kicks off big time, so the Queens is your only bet. It might be lively at peak times, but it is quiet most of the week. Very well kept Robinsons bitter - nearly as good as at the brewery pub on Hillgate.

No pubs at all from New Mills are listed (!), which is a travesty - we've got 14! - and it's only a small town. The Queens is a vibrant pub, Robinson's ale, live acts every Friday and Saturday - good jukebox, lively locals - no tumbleweeds floating across the bar-room floor. Also investigate the Royal Oak, Mason's Arms and The Torrs.
