The Elbow is a brilliant boozer if you're looking for good music and decent beer every night of the week. Dan the landlord loves his music and pays the bands based on how many followers they bring - bands/artists can earn £3 or £4 a ticket from a £5 entry fee - how many pubs can say that? Also, there is a great house PA with an in-house sound engineer that knows what he's doing. Highly recommended for bands and punters alike. Coxygoesvroom - 11 Nov 2011 13:22
Had my sixth visit to the Fiddlers Elbow last night. I have to say this is fast becoming one of favourite live music venues in London. For a start is easy to park around the venue (after 5:30).....a 15 minute walk to Camden Lock for a bite to eat. Back at the Fiddlers. Like the first time we got a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff and had a good selection of beers to choose from. However, the thing that really makes this place stand out from many others is the quality of live music. Not only do they have a fine selection of bands but the sound quality is awesome. A fair sized stage and excellent sound and lighting system. Oh and for us smokers there's a private area out the back.....huurrrah! Once again we had a top night in The Fiddlers. Can't wait for the next visit. KentMod - 14 Nov 2010 18:48
after fighting my way through 3 casino pop ups (sort it out you tossers) id like to retract my last statement and say that there were no vagrants - only tramps bottoms and wizards sleeves baps - 19 Oct 2010 01:54
Sorry, but I have to answer the most recent comment on this pub, 'cos it's outrageous. As a regularly gigging musician and a Londoner all my life (despite now being out in Borehamwood), let me break the news to you (and recent contributor 'baps'): this pub/venue is an absolute breath of fresh air in a scene where places are so often nice despite the venue and not because of it. The Fiddlers Elbow has been a place to see real bands off of the 'manufactured' circuit for a while, and it's had a major makeover with new flooring/decoration and amazing classic vinyl and band posters decor. The French guy that does the sound there has always done a great job, and now he's got his own/DJ booth and the stage area is bigger as a result. The place has got a relaxed friendly vibe and bar staff to die for. I don't know if good honest pubs with heart like the Fiddler's Elbow can make a go of it in the current economic climate (and with some negative out-of-date entries lingering on beerintheevening), but they bloody well should be able to! See you there. ag4bwood - 11 Sep 2010 09:26
Great British Pub - had a great night here watching football, although not really a football pub great for gigs as centre stage large with views from all around pub. Toilets were brand new nicely tiled, more like posh hotel toilets. Staff very friendly, all in all a great night out. JoanneH - 23 Jun 2010 11:00
