Good little venue, but agree with whats been said.
Clean the khazis up, a coat of paint, and have the small bar at the back open and working(the bar in the front struggled to keep up last night).
Guinness was ok.

Was in here last night for the London Diehards debut gig, and The Legendary Gonads.Superb night, packed wiuith the cream of londons Hooligan past and loads of buxom tattooed ladies.

Recommended for a night of Music, but maybe not for a lunch time pint

Yeah, like the last poster, I'm a massive supporter of good local/small live music venues (I hate corporate rape-artists who won't give you even a glass pint glass...) Yes, it's cheap on the door, so beer has to be more costly, but you could be better, instead of riding on the promoters' coattails (however nice you might be to them/us)... Nicer toilets, (soap is mandatory, or I'll wait at home/ go elsewhere until I've had my dump instead of spending money).
Might be a gripe too far in some eyes, but perhaps I smell legend around this pub if the rough edges are smoothed off and the music continues.

I'd recommend getting drinks elsewhere before going here. They are pricey at £3.20 for a Stella and £2.80 for a Corona, also they tasted pretty poor too!

Ok for live music.

This pub is actually getting pretty darn good for live music. Thanks to an understanding and open minded promoter (a rare beast), truly alternative sounds can now be heard eminating from these hallowed walls with an ever increasing regularity.
The first Friday of every month is Mantra, a night of alternative heavy rock, metal, prog, psychedelia etc run by Ahymsa - one of London's top unsigned bands but don't tell them that. It is only £3 and all the proceeds are split between the bands - helping sponsor local music (more info go to myspace/ahymsa). This is just one example of a whole host of top quality gigs going on there . I strongly recommend anyone who is a little bored of "the Camden Scene" go check this place out. Next Mantra April 6th.
Peace.

Hey! Ambassadors of Om, four fearless men, taking the gospel of om to far flung corners, uncharted territories, hazardous seas, fearsome natives. Kentish Town... No one has fixed these fellows with a gimlet eye and called them guilless.
No one has referred to these men as bumptious, lacksadaisical or preening. Indeed they were at the front of the queue when they were handing out gumption vouchers.
Therefore we will be taking our travelling show to The Fiddlers Elbow on Sat 6th May onstage 9.30ish, hoping to bring a ray of light, some gaiety. Some may be unfamiliar with our wares (some over familiar), described by a man as a ruthless mix of dirty funk, dub, psychedelia and ska. We are ruthless. We are not
afraid to crack a few eggs. We are Om.
As a special touch The Om sound system turntablists will also be spinning some rekkids (when not playing their instruments, obviously).
Hell, what more do you want? playing live, and djing, come gorge yourselves.
Omage.
