I have been going here since it was the Jubilee back in the mid '80's and I have to say it has definately lost it's gloss. The DJ music is deafening (not my age!) and the beer could be better. It has been a very good venue for up and coming groups as well as some of the old bands on a reunion tour. Sometime you pay sometimes you don't. It lost a bit of it's clientelle when Legends nightclub opened round the corner, and stayed open til 3 where ar Trillz stays open til only 1am on Thurs, Friday and Saturday. The quiz is taken very seriously on a Sunday, so don't go in and play up, or you'll be out on your ear. Can be a very funny night! Questions not rock related, and can be very hard! speshal_kay - 17 Feb 2007 16:42
Too many changes in recent years - used to be a place where you could just sit and enjoy (particularly under the spiral staircase !!) Still worth a visit Vulpecula - 12 Jan 2007 11:57
Not bad, but I remember the days when you could bet on seeing cool (if scary) women wearing leather basques. Honest. anonymous - 18 Apr 2006 20:32
I love this pub. Monday night are fab as it used to be £1 in/£1 a pintbut now I have heard its £1.50 now lol. On a sat night it still has the great atmosphere yet the drinks can be a bit too pricy (£3.50 for certain drinks). None the less its a great pub for rock./metal lovers. If youre sick of the usual dance/pop places then come here. cyclonus - 20 Feb 2006 19:15
