| I had a lovely pint of Hobsons in here last week. I wish I had stayed longer and tried another ale. The bar feels very relaxed although not typically like a pub. Both staff and clientele seemed very friendly to this particular out-of-towner. I wish I had stayed there instead of the hotel I was booked at, if the accommodation was as good as the bar and beer. Ordinary - 25 Nov 2008 22:32 |

| Tried this place after a fantastic meal in the Virgins opposite, the beer was in good order, it was one of the Wye Valley products. the place was fairly busy but in my opionion lacked a bit of charachter due to the rather hotel feel to the place with it's white and blue chequered carpet, however if you can look past that what else do you want from a pub, after all the ale was good, so i'll shut up now! definitely worth a visit. | Was in for the fish and chip night it was excellent. Washed down by Batemans summer swallow which was in wonderful condition. Whilst I was in this place I hurd a couple talking about the site. The pub is brill. The fish and chips were beautiful, the beer was excellent and i'm impressed with the site. I will start reviewing more pubs but wish I had known about is sooner. 9/10 westie2 - 17 Jun 2008 19:30 |
