Went in on a Saturday afternoon and was busy, had a good selection of local ales. Well worth a visit.

Just been told that after Rob left for the Mark Addy, it is now open again as a proper pub, will have to check out Saturday after Crown & Kettle.

The Beer House has indeed re-opened. Paid a visit on Saturday and 3 real ales were available. Pedigree and 2 from Dunham Massey brewery. There was a menu for bottled beers (europe & uk) and a blackboard advertising food specials. Food looked a bit overpriced but didn't try it so can't comment. They appear to be renaming the pub as The Angel & were advertsing wine at 20 to 30 a bottle so may be trying to attract a more affluent crowd. Despite the nearby redevelopment I can't see this place attracting the wine bar / bistro type customers and on my visit everyone was going straight to the handpumps and drinking real ale. The Beer House was always firmly in Manchester's Northern Quarter's beer trail and these were certainly the clientelle using it last Saturday. Hopefully the new owners will realise and increase the cask selection to keep the custom. At least the place is open again, clean, friendly and selling decent beer. Good luck to them.

Yes it has reopened, been redecorated, had a pint of Little Bollington and West Coast IPA both very well kept.

Seems like the original regualrs are coming back, went in areound 3pm was quiet but became very busy around 4pm.

Wish the new landlord well

Was at a local CAMRA meeting last night, apparently this pub has reopened again, as of last Friday, as a 'no nonsense pub grub' sort of place. 2 or 3 real ales available.
