Yes it has reopened, been redecorated, had a pint of Little Bollington and West Coast IPA both very well kept.

Seems like the original regualrs are coming back, went in areound 3pm was quiet but became very busy around 4pm.

Wish the new landlord well

Was at a local CAMRA meeting last night, apparently this pub has reopened again, as of last Friday, as a 'no nonsense pub grub' sort of place. 2 or 3 real ales available.

Talking to the landlady at the Smithfield, there appears to be no way back for the Beer House. Interestingly, I've looked at the plans for the developments around the area, and the pub still stands.

A sad end for a once great pub.

Some belatedly sensible reviews of the Beer House at last! Against all the entreaties from CAMRA publications that this pub was 'back to it's former glory' it was always destined to go the way of 'The Pot'. Let's not get misty-eyed about good times past, it's small wonder they used to hang people in the morning when one has sufficient sang froid to carry it out before humanity clouds the day. Bring on the demolition ball!

Closed and boarded. Formerly one of Manchester's gems, but utterly abysmal but the summer of 2006. In its final state closure was a blessing.
