I have been in the crown and cushion quite recently and just too let everyone know that the loud mouthed dog has GONE!!! as new land lady and partner TOP COUPLE make u feel welcome excellent beer on tap!! GREAT BAR STAFF!! if u were even going in to have a nice quiet game of pool believe me u will love it as u get roped into getting on the teams for both pool and darts and believe me u can't say no as u know u really wanna!! lol. As everyone knows there has been a crappy no-smoking ban in all the pubs and clubs but the crown and cushion has got the best smoking shelter out the back that i have seen yet and i go out a lot ha ha JUST VISIT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!! lpower - 24 Feb 2008 03:53
Spent a few hours in the pub before a concert at The New Century Hall. Holts wasn't up to much. It was very busy World Cup and fact that The Ducie up the road was closed didn't help. Landlord's Dog barking all the time isn't exactly appealing. Can't say I'd rush back anonymous - 12 Jun 2006 15:51

I have a great-great uncle who was the victualer for the Crown and the Cushion according to the 1871 census located at 140 Long Milgate oon the Salford Border with M/C. Would this be the same one and is there anyway I can find more information about this pub? kathywagner - 10 Jan 2005 22:37
