My mate is having his "coming out" party in here on Saturday MrKennedy - 16 Sep 2008 12:56
Hugely reliant on its 'Time Out' entry. Very, very expensive. redjim73 - 17 Apr 2008 09:53
Very helpful and attentive service and a good selection of well-prepared food. I was part of a large group and the staff coped admirably with the task of keeping us all happy. They also let us stay in situ after the meal so we could enjoy the rest of the evening and get drinks from the bar without having to brave the winter night. So many other places would have pushed us on for a second sitting so I was very impressed and would highly recommend this pub. The bar did look very packed though so if you do go, I'd eat and get a table. unro - 13 Jan 2008 13:19
Had dinner here last night. The service was unbelievably slow and the staff inattentive. Would not have food here again because of this and the price. On a positive note the decor is lovely. kirsty99 - 11 Jan 2008 16:01
This is just the sort of place that I want to go and eat and have a good catch up with an old friend. It is so pretty inside....fairy lights on the ceiling and dark wood everywhere so very atmospheric. The food was delicious. I tried something that I have never had before Kudu Hounchi (not sure if it is spelt correctly but it was the meat from a Kenyan Deer and was so beautifully cooked) and for pudding I had amazing chocolate fondant. As it was a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite empty but it did not matter, the staff were helpful, polite and attentive. A real gem in Croydon which I thoroughly reccomend, especially if you are looking for a possible venue to go for a more informal date?! wandering_alice - 10 Oct 2007 10:16
