| Very helpful and attentive service and a good selection of well-prepared food. I was part of a large group and the staff coped admirably with the task of keeping us all happy. They also let us stay in situ after the meal so we could enjoy the rest of the evening and get drinks from the bar without having to brave the winter night. So many other places would have pushed us on for a second sitting so I was very impressed and would highly recommend this pub. | This is just the sort of place that I want to go and eat and have a good catch up with an old friend. It is so pretty inside....fairy lights on the ceiling and dark wood everywhere so very atmospheric. The food was delicious. I tried something that I have never had before Kudu Hounchi (not sure if it is spelt correctly but it was the meat from a Kenyan Deer and was so beautifully cooked) and for pudding I had amazing chocolate fondant. As it was a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite empty but it did not matter, the staff were helpful, polite and attentive.
