This pub won the Evening Standard pub of the year competition at least twice. Then it was a busy pub with excellent catering. Brilliant lunches and sandwiches and congenial proprietors and bar staff.

But that was 30 years ago.

It had been going downhill for years when it finally expired last year.

Suggestion is you don't go there.
Was recommended by some pratt in The Times Sat 10th Jan but has already closed down. Great reporting and a wasted journey to Woolwich.
